Each year, millions of computers are sold.  Most of those are purchased to replace older computers.  Where do those computers whose product life cycles have worn down go?  To the landfill!  (Not always, but mostly.)  Most of those new replacements were nonessential upgrades to hardware that could well spend another five to ten years doing that same task it always has, just not as showy and new.

 

Use those old computers!  Instead of buying a new PC or Mac (although Apple could really use the cash right now...), check out eBay.  Look at your local GoodWill or other thrift store to find a computer that can suit your needs.  By all means, keep using the computer you are using if that's all you need.  So let's start an initiative!  Let's Save the World!
